Meaning: The front part of the hands (the finger tips) are ascribed to Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth, the middle part (the palm proper) to Goddess Saraswati - the Goddess of learning and the root (the part of hand near the wrist) to Govinda (God). Therefore, every morning, one should have a respectful look at one's hand which symbolizes honest labor.

Once upon a time an ant came to a spring to drink water. To reach the spring, she had to climb up a blade of grass she was about to grab but she slipped and fell into the water. A dove saw all this and in pity she quickly plucked off a leaf and dropped it into the water near ant. Then the ant moved towards the leaf and climbed up there. Then ant floated safely to dry ground. Soon after the ant saw a hunter nearby was throwing out his net towards the dove to trap it. Then the ant quickly bit him on the heel. Hunter startled and dropped his net. Then immediately the dove flew away to safety.

Once upon a time, there was a poor man in a small village. He and his wife had a goose. One day he prayed to god to help him become rich. Then god appeared to him and gave a boon that the goose he had will lay a golden egg every day. Lucky though they were, they soon began to think they were not getting rich fast enough. They imagined that if the goose can able to lay golden eggs, its insides must be made of gold. Thinking this they decided to get all that precious metal at once by killing goose. However, upon cutting the goose, they were shocked to find that its inside were like that of any other goose and there was no gold. So this teaches us to think before we act and also we should not be greedy.

Once upon a time there was a farmer called Ramayya. He has a boy who had to look after a flock of sheep. One day, the boy felt bored and decided to play a trick on the villagers working in their fields along with his dad. He shouted, “Help! Tiger! Tiger!” The villagers heard his cries and rushed out to help the boy. When they reached him and asked, “Where is the Tiger?” The boy laughed loudly, “ I fooled all of you. I was only playing a trick on you.” After few minutes the boy played this trick again and cried, “Help! Help! Tiger! Tiger!” Again, the villagers rushed up to help him and they found that boy had tricked them. They were very angry with him for being so naughty. Then, after some time, a tiger went into the field. The tiger attacked one sheep seeing this the boy started shouting, “Help! Help! Tiger! Tiger!” The villagers heard his cries but they laughed because they thought it was another trick. The boy ran to them and said “A Tiger attacked the sheep. I lied before, but this time it is true!” the villagers went to look. They saw the tiger running away. The boy was frightened and ashamed of his behavior. He realized that because of his lies tiger killed sheep.
